Our New York City Trips

We had the opportunity to meet and speak with The famous designer Betsey Johnson

Question to Betsey:What is the most important skill that your interns need to know?

Betsey: By far the most important is being able to sew and construct a garment. You need to know the difference between a set in sleeve, a collar and a dart. All to often in the interview process we find that the intern hasn't a clue about the different parts of a garment. You might know how to draw a design, but if you don't know how to construct it then you won't get a job here or anywhere in this industry.
